Applicant safety
How we contact you — and how we never will
Scammers borrow real company names. This page is the single source of truth for what a genuine Danco process looks like, plus a way to report anything that does not match.
The real process
Genuine contact looks like this
If a message does not match the list on the left, treat it as suspicious even if the name on it looks familiar.
- Never moneyWe never ask candidates or employees for payment, deposits, equipment fees, gift cards, crypto or bank details.
- Never chat-app hiringWe do not hire, interview or confirm offers through WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS or social media DMs.
- Never a paid assessmentThere is no fee to apply, no paid test, and no 'training deposit' at any stage of the process.
- Never rush youReal offers are written down and give you time. Pressure to act in minutes is a warning sign.
- Never personal accountsWe do not send contracts or pay information from free mailboxes, and we do not use personal payment handles.
- Always an official addressEvery message from us comes from an official @danco.org address. If the domain is different, it is not us.
Official domain: @danco.org. Everything else — including free mailboxes claiming to be us — is not Danco.
Red flags
Seven signs it is not us
Any one of these is enough to stop replying. Several together mean report it.
Sign 1
You are asked to pay anything — for equipment, training, a background check or a 'kit'.
Sign 2
The approach arrives by DM, text or a chat app rather than email.
Sign 3
The sender's address is a lookalike of danco.org rather than the domain itself.
Sign 4
You are asked for your bank login, card number, ID documents or crypto wallet early on.
Sign 5
The offer arrives before any interview, or with no conversation at all.
Sign 6
Pay is described only in vague 'per task' or 'per referral' terms.
Sign 7
You are asked to receive money or packages and forward them somewhere.
Report it
Tell us what happened, we will check
Include the channel used, what was asked for, and any handles or numbers involved. The team reviews every report.
Before you send
- Do not reply to the suspicious message.
- Do not click links or download attachments from it.
- Do not send money or documents, ever.
- Screenshot it if you can, and describe it below — never forward suspicious files to yourself as attachments.
Report a scam attempt
Reports are stored for investigation and used to warn other applicants. Please do not include other people's personal data.
Already shared something you should not have?
Contact your bank or card provider immediately if you transferred money, and change any passwords you shared. Then report the attempt here so we can warn others.
[CONFIRM: any local reporting authority links we should list for the launch markets.]
Safety first, then paperwork
If the process above checks out, the application itself takes about ten minutes.
